Spending a delightful 48 hours in a small town at the foot of Mount Fuji

Before the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I was daydreaming about Mount Fuji in the office. Now, during the holiday, Mount Fuji is right before my eyes. 🌄 I spent a leisurely weekend in this small town at the foot of Mount Fuji. Each day, I walked long distances, gazing at Mount Fuji from various corners of Kawaguchiko Town. After taking a bus from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko, I arrived at 9 PM. I immediately dashed into a warm convenience store to buy dinner and breakfast for the next morning. Wrapped in a scarf and wearing a hat, I walked to the hotel while keeping my eyes on Mount Fuji. Looking up, I saw a bright full moon and a sky full of stars✨. I couldn’t even remember the last time I saw stars. 🌅 I specifically set an alarm for sunrise. At 6:40 AM, as soon as the alarm rang, I jumped out of bed. Still in my pajamas and wrapped in a down jacket, I rushed to the balcony to see Mount Fuji. To my surprise, I witnessed the golden glow of the sunrise on Mount Fuji, a sight I had imagined countless times. At that moment, I was completely awake, standing in the freezing morning air on the balcony for half an hour, mesmerized by the golden sunrise. Afterward, I turned back, tucked myself under the blanket, and continued sleeping. 🌇 In the evening, I saw the ideal sunset unique to Mount Fuji right outside Ogino. I stood in the cold wind for a long time until the sky turned completely dark. Then, I turned and entered a nearby ramen shop, ordering a steaming bowl of tonkotsu ramen. 🙏 Here, I felt grateful every day—for the good weather☀️, the beautiful scenery, the gifts of nature🌿, the existence of Mount Fuji, the people who carefully preserve all of this, and the many kind-hearted individuals I encountered. 🇯🇵 Everything I experienced in Japan was so beautiful and unforgettable.
