First of all, thank you to the front desk staff who check us in when we encounter error on the self check in and gave us a free upgrade… ours was the compact room or something and was at a lower level, she upgraded us to a higher floor on level 7 with a view of the train station. Thank you for making our trip in Kyoto a memorable one. The room was big with a long sofa which we can sit and have our meals, enjoy the view and even put our large luggage. Will book again next trip to Kyoto. Sorry didn’t managed to ask for your name. Throughly enjoy my stay with this hotel and it’s pretty near to aeon mall and konbini stores. Thanks again!

Ala Kyoto Hotel is superb! I stayed for my birthday and it was lovely - clean, great location (near to Kyoto station) and easy enough to get the bus to Gion (shopping area). The staff’s customer service was exceptional - went through extra lengths for my birthday and sorted out forwarding our luggage. The hotel’s laundry facilities were great, the gym was a little small but had what you really needed if you wanted to run/cycle/elliptical. I didn’t try the onset but imagine it was good! Nothing to complain, the rooms were lovely! - stayed in both the double and twin - lots of space in both (larger than most in Japan). Highly recommend, the prices are usually good but stayed during golden week, so the prices were inflated but still worth the money. 10/10.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto. Upon check-in, I was delighted by a thoughtful perk: every guest gets to choose two small gifts from a selection that included moisturizing masks, hair bands, lotions, bath salts, and more. This added a nice personal touch to the experience. I booked a small double room for under $80 USD, which, while not cheap, is relatively affordable for Kyoto. The room was compact but well-designed, offering enough space to comfortably access the bed from both the side and bottom. The bathroom, though small, was functional, featuring a bidet (common in Japan), a deep but short bathtub, and plenty of amenities. The hotel also provided pajamas, slippers, a hot water kettle, tea, glass cups, and reliable Wi-Fi, making the stay even more convenient. The room had windows that could be opened or closed for ventilation, and both the AC and hot water worked flawlessly, ensuring a comfortable environment. While breakfast was available, I opted not to try it due to its price of around ¥1600 and my past experiences with underwhelming hotel breakfasts. The only downside was the early 10 AM checkout time, which led to a bit of a rush for the elevator in the morning. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall quality of the stay. For travelers seeking a comfortable and budget-friendly option in Kyoto with thoughtful amenities, I highly recommend Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto.

This was a great hotel, my boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We forwarded our luggage from Tokyo, and the hotel received our luggage fine and had it ready for us when we checked in. There was a nice lobby area to eat and free teas offered with several different flavors. Additionally, we were very close the Kyoto Station which made it convenient for us to travel to where we needed to go. A few thoughts: (1) our last hotel had heated toilet seats so it was disappointing to my boyfriend when this one didn't, and (2) the water pressure was very high in our bathroom sink and we couldn't lower it, so it was difficult to wash our hands without splashing everywhere on the floor. Otherwise, the stay had no issues and we would recommend!

First of all, the apartment itself is spacious and clean. The bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. I especially want to praise the bathroom setting. It is equipped with a clothes drying rack. The high-temperature drying function is very popular. The washed clothes can be dried overnight. The kitchen equipment is equipped with an oven. The bus across the road can go directly to Kitano Mantengu Shrine and Kinkakuji Temple. Not far from the apartment is Kubota, where the tsukemen is super delicious! It is a little far from Kyoto Station, but the taxi for four of us is only 700 yen. I will choose this one next time.

I stayed at a friend's homestay in Nakamosatori Japan when I was in Japan before and it was great. This time I experienced a homestay in Kyoto again. It was a very cozy homestay, very clean, and the facilities were pretty good. The transportation was quite convenient, and the surrounding buses were very convenient to several attractions. The most important thing was that I could cook Sukiyaki in the room. The black beef sold in the 24-hour supermarket recommended by the boss was great, much more cost-effective than what we ate in Kobe, and my family liked it very much. Next time I plan to stay a few more days to have a deep tour in Kyoto.

This ”Sakura Suk ・ Yongcheng” is really great! The landlord was super enthusiastic. After booking, I added me WeChat, sent WeChat location and Google Maps location, and told me how to come from Kansai Airport. After arriving, we helped us plan the itinerary for free, recommended nearby supermarkets and delicious food, especially intimate! It rained heavily when I left, and the landlord borrowed two umbrellas, which was so heartwarming! Originally, I had to pay, the landlord said that I was very happy to help, and I didn't charge 🥹 This time I brought the two babies, parents and children should pay attention to the Japanese residential area at night is quieter, and those with children should let the children not be too noisy and not disturb others. It is a Japanese-style villa with stairs in the house. The bedroom is on the second floor. Children especially like it, but the elderly may be a bit hard to climb up. The bedroom is tatami mats, and children can roll around on it. Don't worry about falling down. Children like this feeling very much. This is basically what I think. In short, this homestay is really great, like the caring and lovely landlord, and highly recommend it to everyone! (Forgot to take a photo of the homestay, put a photo of Dongsi 3 minutes away, hahaha)

The B&B is very clean. It is located in a residential area. The residents are quite quiet. There is just a bit of noise from passing cars at night. It is a good place to experience a Japanese cabin. It is especially suitable for a family. It is more comfortable than staying in a hotel. It is spacious and has many rooms. It has a living room and takes into account both privacy and privacy. Family interactions. There are kitchen supplies so you can cook your own meals. The nearby 24-hour supermarket is very convenient for buying ingredients and making Japanese hot pot. You can use Uber to call a car to the door of your room. The landlord responded promptly via WeChat and provided detailed information about the surrounding area. It is recommended that there be a small table next to the sink to store cosmetics, or a tabletop mirror to facilitate putting on makeup on the living room table. Slippers are difficult to wear, and it would be better to provide disposable toiletries. Overall it's worth staying, especially for family travel. Some information for other friends who are making reservations: There is a subway station ten minutes away, but the Kyoto subway is not very convenient. The main bus is the main one, but the bus is a bit laborious. Basically, it is simple and straightforward to use Uber. A taxi from Kyoto Station costs about 1,100 yen, Eikan-do Temple is 3,800 yen, Nishi Honganji Temple is 1,600 yen, Tofukuji Temple is 1,300 yen, and Kiyomizu Temple is 3,400 yen.

The room is really clean, it is very quiet surrounded by residents, the door of each house is uniquely decorated, and there are views everywhere! Because I brought two old people with me, they are not used to Japanese food! I cooked a few meals to let them eat hometown food! The B&B is very convenient to Kiyomizudera Temple. It only takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the station. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Kiyomizudera Temple, Hanamikoji, and other scenic spots! Kyoto is still a place worth staying for a few more days. Personally, I like to travel quietly and slowly. I prefer Kyoto to Tokyo and Osaka!

It's great. You can immerse yourself in a Japanese B&B. The eel shop next to it is also very close, which is perfect for going back to eat when you are tired from shopping. It is a 5-minute walk from Toji Station and one stop from Kyoto Station. It is convenient for traveling to Osaka and the airport. The boss is also very enthusiastic.

Ssydney_wangIt's a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The hotel is new, the rooms are big enough, and the free rental bicycles are also very easy to ride. Although there is only one bath in the large public bath, it is very comfortable to take a bath every day. The only drawback is that if you want to visit the most lively and central area of Kyoto, you can only take the bus. If you live in Shijo, it will be more convenient to go shopping and eat.

The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours.
