The Wuhou Temple commemorates Zhuge Liang, the Prime Minister of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period. When it was first built, it was adjacent to Liu Bei's Han Zhaolie Temple. It was merged into the Han Zhaolie Temple in the Ming Dynasty, becoming a rare temple in China that enshrines both the monarch and his ministers. The cultural relics area of the scenic area is mainly composed of Huiling, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Temple, etc. The main building is Wuhou Temple, which enshrines statues of Shu Han heroes such as Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang. Chengdu’s famous landscape “Red Walls and Bamboo Shadows” is located within the scenic area.

Friends who like the Three Kingdoms must go there. It is full of Three Kingdoms elements. It is really exciting to see some attractions and buildings. The police district’s cultural and creative work is also very good. You can finish the tour in two hours. It is highly recommended. It is a very good attraction. |
Jinli Ancient Street is a well-known pedestrian commercial street in Chengdu. It consists of a large number of antique buildings in the architectural style of the late Qing Dynasty. It has a large number of bars and famous restaurants, including the famous Wuhou Temple. People usually come here for a stroll after visiting the Wuhou Temple. Items sold on both sides of the street are full of local characteristics, and there are many old Chengdu craftsmen busy making blowing sugar paintings and making dough figurines. In addition, the various delicacies will definitely make you salivate, such as Zhang Fei beef, tofu pudding, beef cakes, and Bobo chicken, each with its own flavor. When the red lanterns are lit up at night, the bars and teahouses in Jinli are also bustling and lively.

People's Park in the center of Chengdu was built in 1911. It is a great place for locals to drink tea and chat. When you come here, you can truly feel the "slow life" of the people of Chengdu. After arriving at People's Park, you can go to the teahouse in the park like the locals, order a cup of scented tea that the locals love to drink, bask in the sun and daydream, or find a few good friends to play mahjong together.
Address: No. 9, Citang Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province
Opening hours: 06:30-22:00

I came to Chengdu People's Park, and as soon as I stepped through the gate, I was attracted by the scene before me. In the garden, there are towering ancient trees with luxuriant branches and leaves, which seem to hold up a natural green umbrella, bringing a touch of coolness in the hot summer. Walking along the cobblestone road, the flowers and plants on the roadside are vying for beauty and colors. Butterflies are dancing among the flowers, and bees are busy flying among them, buzzing and making a lively atmosphere. After passing through a bamboo forest, we arrived at Heming Teahouse. The place was bustling with people, and the old people were sitting together, leisurely sipping tea from gaiwan bowls and chatting, with contented smiles on their faces. I also found a seat and sat down, and ordered a cup of jasmine tea. The faint tea fragrance filled the air, intoxicating. On the lake in the distance, several small boats were slowly paddling by, the waves were sparkling, and water birds occasionally flew over the water, causing ripples. In People's Park, I felt the leisure and freedom unique to Chengdu, as if time had slowed down here, making people forget the hustle and bustle and troubles of the world. |
Kuanxiang and Zhaixiang are ancient streets from the Qing Dynasty left over in Chengdu. They consist of three parallel urban streets, Kuanxiang, Zhaixiang and Jingxiangzi, and the courtyard communities between them. Come here, drink tea, eat hot pot, and experience Chengdu’s leisurely life, slow life and new life. You can order a cup of tea here and chat with the old man next to you; you can also comfortably enjoy the pleasure of ear cleaning. The Kuanzhai Alley also has a unique charm under the night sky. Bars such as Dianzui, Baiye and Huli are full of fashion.
Address: No. 27, Kuanxiangzi, Qingyang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province
Transportation: Take Metro Line 2 and get off at People's Park Station; or take Metro Line 4 and get off at Zhaixiangzi Station.

In Kuanzhai Alley, besides food, there are souvenirs. It's a pity that the ear cleaning feature is not available... But there is the Fortune Mahjong game, hehe... It's really worth walking around and seeing. It is worthy of being the most lively attraction. And the appetite is so good that I can't stop. I really have to hold on to the wall to go out and back in. |

We went with the VIP package which included makeup and photoshoot, and overall we had a fantastic experience. The seats up front gave us a perfect view of the show, which was energetic, engaging and very entertaining. Dressing up and having our pictures taken was a highlight - it added a fun, entertaining element to the evening. The free tea and sunflower seeds were a nice touch and everything felt good. The massage was a little too strong for my personal taste but not a big deal, didn't take away from the experience, the only real downside was the food, the prices were only slightly higher than outside but the quality was poor We ordered popcorn chicken and received two plates of cold, stale portions that tasted like cardboard. If we weren't so hungry we would have sent it back. Nonetheless, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise very enjoyable and memorable evening. Highly recommended - with one small warning: eat early. |

Wenshu Monastery is located in Qingyang District. It was first built in the Sui Dynasty and was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and renamed Wenshu Monastery. There are more than 300 Buddha statues of various sizes enshrined in the courtyard, made of various materials such as steel, gauze, wood carvings, stone carvings, and clay sculptures. Among them is a Burmese jade Buddha, which comes from Myanmar and is very precious.
The five main halls in the temple, including the Hall of the Three Bodhisattvas, the Main Hall, the Dharma Hall, and the Sutra Library, are connected in sequence and integrated with the bell tower, dining hall, and corridors on the east and west sides. Together with other buildings, they form a closed courtyard. There is also a teahouse and a distinctive vegetarian restaurant "Xiangzhaitang" in the courtyard, making it a favourite leisure place for residents.
In addition, the temple houses many precious calligraphy and painting pieces from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The most famous is the "Empty Forest" plaque bestowed by Emperor Kangxi on Wenshu Temple in 1702, and the scroll "Sea Moon" which Kangxi imitated from the Song Dynasty calligrapher Mi Fu. There are also Buddhist cultural relics such as the parietal bone of Master Xuanzang from the Tang Dynasty, Indian palm leaf scriptures, and Japanese gilded sutras from the Tang Dynasty. However, since it is a precious cultural relic, it is rarely seen by outsiders.
Wenshuyuan Street in front of Wenshuyuan has been developed into Wenshufang, known as the "urban Zen temple". It is full of antique buildings and many snacks are still sold there.

The environment is perfect. If you like Du Fu, you can come and have a look. I asked an official to explain it briefly. My companion was born in the Year of the Snake, so he got a free ticket. The scenic spots in Chengdu are quite interesting. The elderly can also get free tickets. |
Qingyang Palace is located in the southwest of Chengdu. It was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the oldest and largest Taoist temples in Chengdu. There is a lot of incense here and a strong Taoist atmosphere. People often come here to burn incense and pray for blessings. The environment is quiet. There is also the Sichuan Museum, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, etc. around Qingyang Palace. If you have time, you can visit them all.

The last stop after leaving Chengdu. There are hospitals nearby. There is a bit of traffic on the road. I have to catch a flight so I reserve time. I think this place should not require a ticket. There is a filming location for the movie "Journey to the West." The rest are Taoism-related branches. You need to have some knowledge to understand. |
